Show Google rankings in WordPress back end
Updated article: seo Rank Reporter is discontinued, and I strongly recommend Wincher for showing Google Rankings in WordPress dashboard instead. Here is my review of Wincher: The Cheapest Rank Tracker on The Market? And here you sign up for Wincher (14-day free trial, then 10 € / monthly, no credit card needed for the trial). Here is the Wincher WordPress plugin that you need for checking your rankings in the WordPress backend.
This is what it look like, it is really neat and beautiful:

Today I installed a plugin that will show the Google rankings for a bunch of keywords over time, straight in the WordPress backend. This is something I’ve wanted for a long time. I would even pay for it, but the plugin called “SEO Rank Reporter” is completely free and can be downloaded from the WordPress plugin directory.
Seo rank reporter plugin
It seems to be a quite fresh plugin, published in January 2011, and has only 3000-something downloads yet. The plugin is made by David Scoville, and I am a little surprised that he gave it away for free, SEO-plugins often cost a little, see the post about the SEO Pressor plugin for example. The seo rank reporter plugin is free if you can live with it checking your ranking every third day. If you want it more often, they will charge you a little. But every third day works very well for me, I do not need updates more often than that, so I will test the free one.
How does the plugin show you the Google rankings?
The plugin has a nice-looking graph that shows you the rankings. You find it from the “rank reporter”-button that the plugin adds to the bottom of the left side menu in your WordPress back end.
When days goes on the graph will be nice-looking with upgoing curves, of course.. :)
You can also see a list with your rankings, and you can download the results as CSV if you want. You can also add other URL:s than the one where you have the plugins installed, so you can track all your sites from one WordPress back end… I think this plugin can save some time for me.
This was the plugin hint for this week, download it for free from the WordPress plugin directory and start keeping track of your Google rankings in your WordPress back end.
